About Winc

Winc is a direct-to-consumer winery revolutionizing the way you discover, buy, and share wine. By working directly with vineyards and winemakers we are able to give our Winc Membership members access to exceptional, small-lot wines from around the world.

Each month we'll introduce you to new wines that match your tastes, share the story behind each bottle, and wine knowledge you can share with friends.

 

Winc's Insider Access membership is a monthly charge. 

Once signed up for our Winc membership, you will be charged a monthly fee and credit will be deposited into your account ($1 = 1 credit). We'll provide recommendations of wines we think you'll enjoy into your cart. You must checkout each month to receive your wines, otherwise your credits will build up. For our insider access membership, orders do not automatically ship. 

Your member credits can be redeemed toward the purchase of Winc wines at any time. There are no additional membership fees to join, and shipping is included on orders of 4 or more bottles. 

Remember, you can always change your recommendation settings - how many bottles of red and white you would like us to recommend each month - in the My Membership section, which you can find under your account.

Many of our Winc wines are completely exclusive. Back in the day, capsules were used to protect corks from rodents or dirt in old cellars. Now they are used more for decoration and tradition since wine bottles are stored in cellars or warehouses where temperature, moisture, and cleanliness are all regulated and controlled. Many designers prefer not to use them on their bottles, because it looks much more streamlined and cleaner aesthetically. It's also far more sustainable to go without them.

Not only that, but they're much easier to open without the foil! You will commonly see wines that are best consumed within 3-5 years of bottling without the capsule. We're always trying to brainstorm ways to make our process more sustainable and environmentally-friendly, so look out for more wines coming to you in a sleeker, capsule-less presentation!

We are a full-blown winery—the fastest growing winery in history, in fact. While we work with winemakers, growers, and vineyards from around the globe, we bottle everything at our own winemaking facility in Buellton, CA. This is an incredibly efficient, environmentally friendly way to spend more time, energy, and resources on the wines as opposed to packaging and transportation. It's also helpful for our partners as the wine is able to be their sole focus.

Ultimately, it allows us to deliver the highest quality product at accessible prices to our members and allows you to try wine from small appellations and from unique grape varietals that aren't really well known to most because they tend to be really expensive.

Can I mix & match the Broad & Pattison wines in my order? 

We offer a variety of packs ready to order! These packs have 3, 6, or 12 wines in them. Some of these packs have 1 type of wine. Some are mixed packs. All are delicious.

At this time, you cannot mix and match single bottles of wine for your order.

 

How much does shipping cost on the Broad & Pattison website? 

Touchdown! Shipping is included in all orders.

 

Is satisfaction guarantee offered for purchases on the Broad & Pattison wines website?

No; however, please ask a Winc Concierge if you have any questions or would like a recommendation.

Satisfaction Guarantee is a benefit for Winc Membership orders only. Orders placed on the Broad & Pattison wines website are not a part of the Winc Membership.

Yes, you can cancel and there is no cancellation fee. Options for contacting us:

1.  Live Chat via the Support button on our site. Our hours of support are:

  • Sat-Sun 7am-4pm PT. 
  • When you're logged in on our website, select the support button to chat in the bottom left-hand corner. Then select "Live chat" for assistance.

2. Submit a request by Contacting Us.

You can Skip a Month as often as you like, at no charge. Just be sure to do so 48 hours before your monthly processing date. Setting a calendar reminder a few days before is a great way to keep track of your membership.

If your order is already on its way to you, please contact us and we’ll do our best to find a solution.

If you think you might need to cancel your account, we want to first offer some solutions to common issues: 

The membership doesn't quite fit my budget right now.

Wine is supposed to be fun, not stressful, which is why we offer an unlimited Skip a Month feature you can use anytime you don't wish to receive a monthly order. We also offer a wide range of Member Benefits so you can keep on saving throughout your membership:

  • Complimentary Shipping - On any order of 4 bottles or more.
  • Refer a Friend - For every friend you sign up via your personal invite link, we give you $15 back in credits. And another $15 for their second order. 
  • Case Discounts - On any order of 12 or more bottles, you get a 10% discount.
  • Member Credits - You can save up to $100 by pre-purchasing credits.

Being home to sign for shipments is difficult for me.

We realize being home to sign for packages can be a pain, which is why we recommend some alternative options so someone is always available to sign:

What is it?
Winc’s wine team & engineers have worked together to design an algorithm that recommends wines for you- based on what you’ve selected, tasted and rated previously! Your ratings help us improve future recommendations.  

 

How does it work?
Your ratings history helps our team recommend other wines that members (with a similar palate profile) have tried and liked. We also recommend other wine flavor-profiles that you haven’t already discovered but are likely to love.

 

We need your help!
The more wines you rate, the more you’ll love what’s in your glass. Sip, rate, and repeat.

As you log into your account throughout the month, you'll notice there are always new wines getting added! 

When logged in, all of your current recommended wines for the month will be at the top of the Wines page. Wines best recommended for you will stand out with a gold banner centered above. The number of recommended wines will be based on your current Delivery Settings. Feel free to change this at anytime under the My Membership section of your account. Please add hello@e.winc.com to your contact list so you don't miss out on any Winc emails!

Don't forget you're always welcome to pick out the wine on your own at anytime if you prefer!

The Palate Profile Quiz is a simple questionnaire that helps us choose wines uniquely matched to your tastes. After you complete the initial Palate Profile, we continually refine your preferences based on your Personal Wine Ratings for each bottle.

At Winc, we love to talk about wine. Not sure what you should put in your box? Just ask us!

If you would not like to receive a shipment of wines for a particular month, you are more than welcome to use our Skip a Month feature. When using this feature, you will neither receive nor be charged for wines that month.

We recommend you skip 48 hours before your monthly order date. You're welcome to use the Skip a Month feature as often as needed!

If you change your mind about skipping, you can resume so long as you do so before your next order date. Simply click Resume in the same spot.

You can find this feature in your account under the My Membership section. Where this lives will be different whether you're on a desktop, using a mobile device, or on the Winc iOS App:

Please note that when you Skip a Month, you do forfeit any wines you've previously placed in your box. However, as long as those selections are still available, you can put them back in to save for the next month as soon as you're done skipping.

We find it helpful to set a monthly calendar reminder for a few days before your order date, too.

You can rate wines directly from the Winc website here.

There you can start rating by using this guide:

  • 1 Star = I didn't like it at all. 
  • 2 Stars = It's okay. I'd give it to friends. 
  • 3 Stars = I enjoyed it and would drink it again. 
  • 4 Stars = This bottle was great! 
  • 5 Stars = I can't get enough! 

The more wines you rate, the better. And don’t be afraid to rate a wine lower if you don’t love it. Your Personal Wine Ratings improve our ability to recommend wines that are the most suited to your palate.

Another great feature to utilize when you're rating your wines is Wine Notes. With notes, you can jot down the most memorable things about the wine, where you enjoyed it, and who you shared it with. For example, did you take a bottle to a Game of Thrones viewing party with a small group of friends? A housewarming party? Or a night in with Netflix?

You are welcome to update your profile at any time. We highly recommend using an email you check often, as important notifications regarding your membership will be sent there, including information on your processing date.

We also recommend you add us to your contacts (hello@e.winc.com) to assure that time sensitive updates don’t get lost in your promotions or spam folders. We don’t want you to miss out on anything!

Just log into your account and go to the Account Settings page to update any information you'd like.

Just click the "Forgot Password" link above the Password field on the Sign In page. We'll then email you with password reset instructions. Make sure to check your spam and promotions folders for the reset email.

If you're not getting the reset password email, check to see if you originally signed up through Facebook or Google+. It's possible that the email is going to an email connected with Facebook or Google+ that you don't generally use.

If you are experiencing issues with your password, try typing in your login and password, instead of letting the browser autofill it.

If that doesn't work, it might be a browser issue. Chrome and Safari work best with our current site. We recommend you try one of these browsers to access your account.

In order to stay up to date, we require that customers receive emails regarding any account updates, shipping notices and receipts. Below is a list of what you should be on the lookout for.

Be sure you receive these emails by adding hello@e.winc.com to your contacts. 

 

Skip A Month

Sent after the account has been successfully skipped using the Skip A Month button located within your account's My Membership section. You should look for this email as a confirmation that the account has been paused. It will also give the date the account skipped and the date it will resume.

Shipped

An automatic notification is emailed to the you when the order ships. It includes a link to your Order History page where the tracking information in located. 

Delivery Exception

When a wine delivery is missed, you'll receive this email notifying you. At most, you'll receive this 3 times for each attempt that has been made and missed.

Credit Card Decline

If you receive this email, this means there was an error processing the order. You'll have 3 days to update your billing information or the reserved wines will be added back to inventory. 

 

To manage your other interactions with us or to opt in to SMS delivery notifications, visit your Account Settings page!

Orders

At this time, you can only order Winc Wine by signing up for a Winc Membership when checking out, we do not sell on our website A-La-Carte. We're hoping to offer this option in the near future. Should you be interested in ordering Winc, please sign up for a membership as we allow for cancellations at any point. 

Our Monthly orders start with a minimum of 3 bottles, but you can order as many additional bottles as you like. And in an order of 4 bottles or more, shipping is on us!

There is no maximum number of bottles you can order. Feel free to put as many in your box as you'd like! If you'd like to order that many bottles just for one month, you don't need to do anything else. But if you'd like to set your recommendation settings to a higher number of bottles, you can do so here

We're happy to hear you found a new favorite wine! To order more, simply look for it on the Wines page. If you see the wine there, we still have bottles available, so go ahead and add one or more to your next delivery! Or we're more than happy to do it for you, should you want to reach out.

Don't forget that ordering 12 or more bottles allows you to enjoy 10% off your order. Feel free to mix and match your favorites or add some more for your friends and family. This case discount will be applied automatically upon checkout.

Since we are constantly selling out of wines and adding new ones to try, we recommend after adding more bottles to your box, to go ahead and use our Ship Now feature to make sure you enjoy those favorites again before they sell out.

Disclaimer: This feature is only available for our Legacy Autoship members. 

 

The Ship Now feature is available to our members who want to process a shipment on a day other than their processing date. Depending on when you use the Ship Now feature, a Ship Now order is an additional order to your regular monthly order.

It's a great option if you...

  • Have a party or event in between your monthly orders
  • Discover a favorite bottle and want to stock up (We are constantly selling out of wines and adding new ones to experience, so we don’t want you to miss out!)
  • Just want to simply enjoy more wine!

When taking advantage of this feature, please note that Ship Now is a one time order for the wines currently in your box. Your Ship Now order will process and ship within 24-48 hours. Shipping and tax are applicable.

 

Please note that if you place a Ship Now order within 7 days of your monthly processing date:

  • The Ship Now order will replace your monthly shipment for that month! That way you won’t have to worry about back-to-back shipments.

And if you place a Ship Now order more than 7 days from your monthly processing date:

  • You’ll receive the Ship Now and still receive your upcoming monthly shipment.
  • If after placing a Ship Now order you think you’re all set with wine for the month and decide you no longer want to receive your upcoming monthly order, we welcome you to Skip a Month.

Placing a Ship Now order won't change the date of your monthly order. However, if you would like to change the date of your monthly processing dates, you absolutely can by contacting us.

Once you have selected the wines you would like in your monthly order, you are able to see the date they will process in the Order History section of your account. 

There, you can see the wines in your current order as well as the status. Here are a few statuses you might see:

AuthorizedYour order has been placed. Our warehouse will soon get your wine ready for you to enjoy!CommittedYour wine has been packed and has begun making its way to you! It’s been picked up by FedEx and is waiting to be scanned at the first hub. Once it's scanned, you'll get your tracking number to follow along!ShippedYour wine has been scanned into the first FedEx hub. You now have your tracking number to follow its journey to you!

 

When the order has reached "Shipped" status, you can view the details of its journey en route to you by clicking the specific order and then by clicking the Track Package button.

We also send you tracking information in your Shipped email. If you are not seeing these, be sure to check your promotions or spam folders. You can also add hello@e.winc.com to your contacts so you don't miss any important emails!

If you'd like to be opted in to receive delivery notifications via SMS, just go to your Account Settings and click the checkbox next to "SMS Shipping Notifications."

Usually, it's one of two reasons:

1. We may not be able to ship to your state. Federal and state regulations restrict the states and counties where we're able to ship. Check out that list here.

2.  Might be as simple as using a different credit card. Refresh the page or delete the cookies and cache from your browser, which may be blocking the new credit card information from going through.

No, removing the bottles from your box does not cancel your upcoming order. 

Because the Winc Membership is a monthly wine club, we add personalized recommendations to your box each month based on your palate profile However, we encourage our members to explore all of our wine offerings and to add or remove any bottles they choose. In the event that your box is empty at the time of your order date, Winc will recommend bottles for you to ensure that you do not miss out on your monthly order.

If you do not want wines for a particular month, you can utilize our Skip a Month feature. When your account is skipped, you will not be charged for nor receive wine that month. The Skip a Month feature is unlimited. You can use it as often as you like, free of charge. To skip your monthly order, please sign in and click the Skip a Month button under the My Membership section. Be sure to do this 48 hours prior to your order date to ensure that your order does not ship.

You can skip your upcoming monthly order order by choosing to Skip a Month under the My Membership section of your account. The order date you’ll be skipping will be noted above the Skip a Month button.

 

Autoship members: remember to skip at least 48 hours before your monthly order date to ensure that it hasn't already been prepped and packed. Removing bottles from your box does not cancel your upcoming order.

 

Once an order has already reached "Committed" under Order History, unfortunately it can no longer be edited or canceled as it has already begun making its way to you. If your order has already reached this stage and if returning the order is preferred, we'd be happy to find the best solution for you. Please note orders returned to Winc may be subject to a restocking fee up to the total value of the order.

Billing & Credits

We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit and debit cards with a billing address in the United States. We also accept payment via PayPal.

You are also able to use credits givenearned, or purchased to pay for your orders.

Absolutely! If you have Winc credits, you can view them by logging into your account. All available credits will be automatically applied to your monthly order at the time of your order date.

Nope! But please note that any available Winc credits in your account will be automatically applied towards your next monthly order.

Autoship members only: please note that upon cancellation of your account any remaining credits will be forfeited.

You can find your monthly charge date in the righthand column under all sections of your account. This is a monthly charge on the same date every month. You can login to your account to skip at anytime before the charge date! 

Autoship members: Please note that your order may be authorized up to 12 hours prior to your processing date to speed up the shipping process and to make sure we get your wine to you as soon as possible.

Depending on your ship-to zip code, you may be responsible for paying applicable state and city sales taxes on your Winc orders. Our system will add the applicable taxes, if necessary, and offset taxes with your Winc account credits if available.

You can update your billing information by visiting the Account Settings page in your account. Simply scroll down to the Payment Methods section and edit as you need.

If you need to update the credit card information for your PayPal or ApplePay details, please do so in those respective accounts.

Please Note: If you received an alert bar message advising you to update your billing, after updating, simply place a Ship Now order to resume your account, and you'll be all set.

You might want to check the expiration date on your card. If you're trying to update your credit card info, try refreshing the page and/or deleting the cookies and cache from your browser, which may be blocking the new credit card information from going through.

This is a part of the credit card authorization process. Don't worry, the $1 is never actually charged to your card.

Shipping & Returns

Your order will usually ship within 3 business days of processing**. Shipping typically takes 3-7 business days depending on your distance from our fulfillment center. Get the latest updates on your order when you sign up for SMS shipping notifications here.

 

**For certain states, such as New Jersey (NJ) our shipping timeframes vary to up to 10 business days given 3rd party delivery relationships. 

If your order has already processed and it's in "Authorized" status under your Order History, you may edit your address under your Address Book ASAP. Your address change will apply successfully to the current order and will become your default for future orders.

Please note once an order has already reached "Committed" under your Order History, unfortunately it can no longer be edited. Your address change will not apply to the current order and will only update for future orders. If you have delivery concerns for this order, these alternate solutions may be helpful.

Since someone 21 or older must be available to sign for delivery, we have a handful of shipping solutions that we highly recommend to help give you the best shipping experience!

  • Apartment Office/Doorman

If you live in an apartment building with a leasing manager, you might also want to check with them to see if they are available to sign.

You may also consider shipping to a friend or neighbor with whom you are friendly and who is generally available to sign for packages.

  • Business Address

We recommend shipping your order to your place of work since a signature from someone 21+ is required.

  • FedEx Office

Another great option is sending packages to an eligible FedEx Office location as it's free to have it held for 5 business days and they often have flexible hours. All you need for pick up is your I.D. and tracking number! You can either set the FedEx Office to be your membership's default address or you may follow these steps to arrange for pick-up on an as-needed basis.

Anytime if you'd like to change your shipping address, just log in and go to your Address Book under the Account Settings page to update and save your information.

Someone who is at least 21 years old must be available to sign for each shipment. When providing us with a shipping address please take this into account as all packages are labeled as containing wine and legally require an in-person signature. Carriers will not leave packages unattended regardless of having a signature on file.

 

If you cannot have your monthly order shipped to your work, we recommend as an alternative that you enter a local FedEx Office that accepts packages in the shipping address field. The benefits of shipping to a FedEx Office are that someone 21 and over will be available to sign for it, they often have flexible hours, and they can hold it for up to 5 business days.

 

If you'd like to change your shipping address, just log in and go to your Address Book under the Account Settings page to update and save your information. Just remember to update your shipping address before your next order date!

Every month when your order ships, we will send you an email with its tracking number. You can also view the tracking number for all orders from the Order History page in your account. Each order will have a "Track Order" button that will lead you to your tracking number.

On the go? You can also opt into SMS delivery notifications to track your order. Just go to your Account Settings page and click the checkbox next to "SMS Shipping Notifications."

Please allow up to 48 hours for your tracking number to begin sharing updates. Shared updates from your tracking number will conveniently include the estimated delivery date/next delivery attempt date, its last location, any Delivery Exceptions, etc.

It's also important to know that the location listed next to any Delivery Exceptions may differ from your order's destination city. This is because the location shown next to any Delivery Exception is the location of the shipping facility your order was last seen at. If those two locations differ, no need to worry as your wine is heading to the address attached to your order details!

Someone 21 or older has to be available to sign for all your Winc orders. We know it can make shipping a little more difficult, but it's alcohol and it's the law. The good news is if you don't think you're going to be home to sign, there's a solution available to help you out!

Schedule to pick up at a FedEx Office location for free

No worries if your package is already in transit, you can always follow the steps below to make arrangements for pick-up on an as need basis.

1. Visit your tracking link on FedEx.com (You can access your tracking number from your Order History page)

2. Click the purple "Customize Delivery" button to select the "Hold at Location" option

3. Enter your order's original shipping address to select the location of your choice

4. As soon as it's delivered, your tracking link will indicate it’s available for pick up. Visit the location within 5 business days with your I.D. and tracking number.

If you just missed your delivery, please know FedEx will attempt to deliver it up to 3 times in total. Check your tracking number to be updated on when their next attempt will be. Your tracking number can be found at anytime under your Order History.

If you know you won't be home for the next attempt, here's a solution that may help you out!

FedEx will always attempt to deliver your wine up to 3 times in total. After that last attempt, FedEx will unfortunately begin to return the package.

Please know you may still have the option to schedule a pick up at a FedEx Office location for free. They'll hold it for you for free for 5 business days. Follow the steps below ASAP to see if this option is available for your order.

1. Visit your tracking link on FedEx.com (You can access your tracking number from your Order History page)

2. Click the purple "Customize Delivery" button to select the "Hold at Location" option

3. Enter your order's original shipping address to select the location of your choice

If your order is already being sent back to us, we are happy to ship it back out to you. Please note that all returned orders can be subject to a $20 restocking fee.

Winc’s referral program is only available to Winc members at this time. Visit here to learn more about Winc’s referral program.

  • Orders of 12+ bottles will receive a 10% off case discount!
  • Promos are designated for Winc members only. If you are not a Winc member, have canceled your membership, or are a gift-card recipient, you are not eligible for promos.
  • Customers who have previously canceled their Winc Membership will not be eligible for first-time promos.

At Winc we believe wine should be a shared experience. That's why we offer two different referral programs to choose from.

1) Give a Box

With Give A Box you have the opportunity to show friends some love and introduce them to the Winc Membership with a promo on their first order for 3 bottles on us ($39 off). All they'll need to do is cover tax and shipping for that first order.

After you share, your friend will receive an email explaining their $39 off promo to join the Winc Membership. They'll be enrolled in the Winc Membership upon redeeming but, just like you, they can skip a month or cancel whenever needed.

If they're having trouble finding the email, they can check their spam or promotional folders. If they're still experiencing trouble, we encourage you to contact us. To best help you out, please include both your email address and your friend's email address.

You can find the number of available Give A Boxes, as well as a record of your friends who have signed up, under your account.

Please note that Give A Box can only be sent to new members, cannot be combined with any other promotions or referral programs, and that abuse of this program will result suspension of your Winc Membership.

2) Referral Link

Want to earn credits for referring? Then this is the program for you! If your friend signs up for the Winc Membership with your invite link, you both get credits to enjoy. We'll give you up to $30 - that's 2 bottles on the house - and your friend $30. 

Once you’re logged in, you can access your personal invite link under the Earn Credits section of your account. You can share your link via email, text, or social media.

Your friend will receive  credits in their account for their first order. Once they receive their order, you will get 15 credits that month, too! There are 4 main reasons a promo code might not work.

1. You're not a new member. 
The majority of our promotions are for brand new members. They will not work if you've already placed an order under your Winc Membership. Not to worry! We have a number of Member Savings you can enjoy. 

If you're an existing member but you received an email from us with a promo code, please check the email address that it was sent to by reading, "This email was sent to ___" at the bottom of the email you received. You might be signed up for our emails under 2 separate email addresses. If that's the case, you can unsubscribe the incorrect email address using the link at the bottom of the email or contact us for help. If contacting us, please be sure to include the email address you'd like to have unsubscribed.

2. The promo code is case-sensitive.

Many promos can be case-sensitive. Please copy and paste the promo code exactly as presented, paying attention to uppercase and lowercase letters. If you're still experiencing difficulty, please contact us and be sure to include the exact promo code so we can help you out! It's also helpful to include how you received the promo code.

3. The promo code has expired.
Many promos are for a limited time only. However, if you're trying to use it before the listed expiration date, please contact us and be sure to include the exact promo code so we can help you out! It's also helpful to include how you received the promo code.

4. You're trying to combine the promo with a gift card.

Promos do not combine with gift credits. However, once your credits have run out and you're planning on enter billing and becoming a Winc member, we are more than happy to honor your first time member promo on that order. Please contact us at that time and include the promo you'd like to use so we can take care of you!

Gift Cards

Can I send an e-gift with a delayed send?

  • Great question! At this point, we do not have the ability to delay send our gift cards. If you'd like to purchase now and print out to give to someone on a specific date, simply send to yourself, print out the gifting email, and the recipient can redeem under "Account Settings" on their profile. 

Where can I see if I have credit remaining on my account?

  • If you have credit left on your account, sign in and proceed to My Membership and look for “Credits Available” which will indicate the remaining balance on your account. 

Do I have to have a Winc subscription to purchase or redeem a gift card?

  • Nope! We only ask you to log in or create an account so we can send you an order confirmation but this will not result in a subscription. Just make sure you're not signing up for the membership when checking out. 

Which wine can I choose from if I have a gift card?

  • All of them! As long as the value is covered by your gift card you will not be charged. If you select wines that exceed the value of your gift, you will be charged the difference. The value of each wine as well as the member pricing is indicated on the wine selection page. 

I redeemed a gift card and have credit left on my account, now what? 

  • If you have credit left on your account, it will automatically apply to your next delivery(ies) when you start a subscription. Don’t worry, you can stop the plan at any time! Go to your account, select “skip a month” or contact us and ask to have your membership canceled. 


Can I buy a gift for someone who lives in a different country? 

  • Unfortunately, we do not support this yet as we can only ship to the US. Please note, you can also only purchase if you're located in the US.
     

Can more than one voucher, promo code, gift card, and/or credits be applied to the same order?

  • Nope, only one promo code, discount, or credit can apply to an order at a time except a case discount (10%) since this does not require a specific code. With that, if you are interested in signing up and would like to get the intro offer, you can reach out to our Customer Experience team and we manually add credits for it. 


Am I redeeming a free box or gift card? Why do I need to enter a payment method? 

  • When signing up for Winc, you are enrolling in a monthly, auto-renewing subscription service.
  • Coupons or vouchers may discount all or part of your initial delivery, but your subscription will automatically continue (with monthly charges to your account) unless you choose to skip or cancel deliveries.
  • Just remember to let us know at least 48 hours aka (2 days) prior to your next scheduled delivery if you wish to skip or cancel - no minimum commitment required.
  • If you are redeeming an e-gift card purchased from our website, you will not be enrolled in a subscription unless you opted in.
  • We simply ask for a valid payment method so that you can easily convert your account to a subscription if you wish to continue after receiving your initial order or have used all of your gift card credits.
  • Rest assured, however, that we will not enroll or charge you for additional deliveries unless you choose to convert your gift card account to a subscription. 

Can I place a bulk order for multiple gift cards? 

  • Yes! Simply complete the Bulk Order form and someone from our Gifting team will be in touch. 

With a Winc gift card, you can choose an amount and write a personalized gift note for your recipient digitally. Your recipient can then redeem their gift card to enjoy either a taste of the full Winc Membership (including getting to take the Palate Profile quiz for the first time, getting to see what our wine experts recommend specifically to your tastes, and the flexibility to choose your own wines).

When completing a gift card purchase, please note that you'll be asked to create an account in order to receive an email confirmation. You will not automatically be enrolled in the Winc Membership after purchase.

With that being said, we are required by law to charge sales tax on all orders we ship. It's difficult to know the exact amount of an order, including tax, before the order actually ships as it can be different state by state. However, for membership orders (average (4) bottles) it usually comes out to under $60. And we want the gift card to be able to fully cover at least one monthly order for your recipient.

Yes, you can use the credits in your Winc Membership account towards a Winc gift card purchase. 1 Credit = $1

Please note, however, that credits from promotional codes are not eligible toward gift card purchase.

If you gave a gift card to a friend, you can access your gift card order history by going to Hello > Order History > and then clicking on the Gift History tab to see the details.

If you selected to mail the gift card to your recipient, we sent you an email with the gift card's tracking information. If you did not receive the email for any reason, please contact us so we can best help you out!

We're excited to hear you were given a Winc gift card as a gift! 

 

Once the gift code you were sent is redeemed in your account, you will no longer need to use it to access your account. You can go directly to the Login page and enter in the email address and password you used to create the account.

 

Please note that if you'd like to purchase wines through the Winc Membership, and the cost is greater than the amount of your gift, you will need to enter your billing information to pay that difference. But no worries, you can select to opt in or out of the full Winc Membership if you wish.

 

Keep in mind as well that those redeeming a gift card for the Winc Membership are not eligible to use promotions at checkout.
